Narrative
This book isn’t meant to be the “Holy Grail” of marriage, but a book of reference and direction. Marriage isn’t as complicated as most people make it out to be. Most marriages fail because of the façade that it’s suppose to be perfect when it’s not. We as human beings are not perfect, so how can two imperfect human beings make a perfect union? The answer is simple: you can’t! Marriage is a daily battleground of give and take, small battles and small wars. The truth is that the rules discussed in this book can help most people remain married, but in modern society many couples choose to divorce over the most minor issues and disagreements.
The discussed in this book come from years of interviews with married and divorced couples, friends, and family, as well as everyday living between my spouse and I (whom I have been happily married for over 31 years. This effort alone is considered a rare occurrence in today’s society. The “rules” are simple. Some may say they are vulgar or don’t make sense, but I stand by them. I’ve been married all of my adult life and I have learned a lot along the way.
